Redress Grievance thinks health care has become an issue of right in the United States. Under Medicare and MedicAID all seniors, disabled persons, and those living in poverty are granted affordable, quality federally and state funded care paid for by the individual in proportion to what he earns. We believe a standardized system of socialized health should prevail as a mandated minimum of care afforded to every person and automatically deducted by their employer out of payroll for the individual and her family with a refund being disbursed at tax time in the event private insurance has been arranged on the open market.
The enumeration in the Constitution, of certain rights, shall not be construed to deny or disparage others retained by the people.
The ninth amendment preserves the right of the people to sanctity of the body for medical procedures and medical care of their choosing. It also functions to make marriage a right. It may be extended if Congress authorizes a right to health care for all.
